This past weekend I had the great fortune of meeting with 1 Giant Mind and Dr Paul Zak (The Love Dr.) to participate in A Mass Meditation experiment at the Center for Neuroeconomic Studies at Claremont Graduate University in California. V M: meditate to heal your body xx

Our thoughts, feelings create molecules. The stress thoughts, anger, fears and so on that we experience all day turn into biochemicals that produce toxic chemistry all through the body. When you practice VM (Vedic Meditation) your mind settles down to it’s least excited state, touching bliss- the underlying quiet place that is deep within us.  The chemistry of bliss, of happiness, and the chemistry of healing are identical. Just another reason why I highly recommend VM. My friends Alejandro and Thom explain just this in the video above xx

L O V E: your haters xx

When you are being critiqued, have you ever thought of the consciousness state of the critic?  His or her findings are in fact reports upon their state of consciousness. Words from a conversation with my teacher, Thom Knoles: “You cannot stop someone from behaving with reference to his consciousness state. State of consciousness absolutely dictates one’s behavior because one can only behave with reference to one’s own reality. If we want to effect action, we can only do so by raising the state of consciousness of the person.” Looking to raise your consciousness? D E E P A K: creating affluence xx

My teacher, Thom Knoles, gave me a copy of this book recently and it has become my bible. I’m re-reading a few pages everyday, keeping the concepts fresh in my consciousness- and today, I’m relishing in the fact that I feel happy most days for no reason whatsoever- BLISS -which I credit to my meditation practice.  Thom will be teaching in NYC in a few weeks, stay tuned for a post on how you can meet him too xx
