I N G R I D: Lykke Li Party xx

Just in from the The Bowery Hotel where on the second floor INGRID- the new label by Lykke Li, Peter Bjorn & John, Miike Snow, Teddybears et al.- celebrated their launch with the sounds of the aforementioned as DJs, and as a collective performing an impromptu set.  Bjorn Yttling as DJ had us bouncing in our spots, felt great to dance coming all warm from yoga on the windy west side!!!  Once the band assembled in an non-descript corner, I only lasted for the first two songs but as expected, Lykke Li’s captivating voice stole the show.  She is a great solo performer so it was no surprise her presence to this group added a special element.  I’d love to see this set again on a proper stage, when everyone in the room can at least enjoy visually a moment this beauty’s grace.  Let’s hope for more from this troupe, they all seemed to give their hearts and soul xx
